Alyssa Eisner Henkin earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from The University of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of The Radcliffe Publishing Course. She spent seven years as an editor at Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. Here she edited The New York Times best-selling titles Little Quack by Lauren Thompson and A Creature Was Stirring by Carter Goodrich as well as the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award recipient, Henry and Mudge and the Great Grandpas. She also created the celebrated Wedding Planner's Daughter series by Coleen Paratore and the forthcoming The Mother-Daughter Book Club by Heather Vogel Frederick.

In December of 2006 Alyssa joined Trident Media Group as an agent focused on the representation of children's and young adult authors and illustrators. She is seeking middle grade, tween, and young adult novels as well as chapter books, picture books and non-fiction.
